Garden Marketplaces bring Spring-Inspired Food to Epcot Flower and Garden Festival
The Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is in full swing, and for the first time in its 20-year history, the organizers have added food kiosks around World Showcase, similar to what is done each year for the Food and Wine Festival. These ‘Garden Marketplaces’ feature spring-inspired food themed to each country.
There’s a Smokehouse with barbecue meats at the American Adventure, a Bauernmarket with meatloaf sandwiches and beer at the Germany Pavilion, and Primavera Kitchen with lasagna in Italy. There are twelve food locations in total. Near Port of Entry is one of my favorites: the Pineapple Promenade which features Pineapple DoleĀ® Whip Soft Serve, which can normally only be found at Magic Kingdom and the Polynesian Resort. They sell a cup with regular ice cream, and one which also has Siesta Key Spiced Rum. Here they sell watermelon salad, shrimp and stone ground grits, and angel food cake.
